MISSION

The broad mission of the trust is to promote educational and health care infrastructure in its activities so as to continue the life-long commitment of our parents and our grandmother to provide the opportunity and the needed facilities for those desirous of receiving basic high school and college education and to use their admittedly meagre resources to provide free medical care to those who needed the same, with love and grace.

               Another important mission of the trust is to promote and to perpetuate, among our future generations ,as well as among Sikh youth in general, the religious, spiritual and social values of sikhism based on the gurmat code of conduct which our ancestors have passed on as our heritage to us.

 

objectives

1. To establish, promote, strengthen, maintain educational institutions, charitable health care centers/dispensaries, and other establishments for relief and help to the poor, infirm and otherwise needy people.

2. To award memorial scholarships, stipends, and prizes, to needy yet meritorious students with a view to helping them in prosecuting their studies in schools, colleges and technical institutions.

3. To establish visiting lectureships in colleges/universities.

4. To establish a gurmat research and resource centre including a library focussing on sikh history, religion, philosophy, practices and publication of pamphlets and/or books for the propagation and advancement of the same.

5. To hold seminars, lectures and group discussions on various aspects of sikh history, philosophy and ethos.

6. To develop kits and literature, in punjabi, to provide awareness for managing common afflictions such as diabities, hypertension, aids etc. and avoiding communicable vector (mosquito) and water-borne diseases.

7. To foster and encourage education and training in handicrafts, fine arts and vocationally related skills particularly among women and children.

8. To provide help and cash to poor, destitute widows, orphans, and to persons affected by natural disasters such as floods, cyclones, famine, earth-quakes, and epidemics etc.
